Just Who do We Think We Are?

The girls behind "The Wedding Planners" are Keri Shepherd and Lissa Wilson. We started planning weddings and consulting for friends and family more than ten years and made weddings our “business” about seven years ago. We thoroughly enjoy what we do and must be doing something right because our business has blossomed beyond our wildest expectations. We don’t advertise other than our website and the book and have built our business solely on referrals and through our relationships with other wedding vendors.
We will be happy to supply you with references, letters of recommendation and other forms of collateral from people singing our praises! We want you to feel comfortable with us and confident in our ability to plan and organize the wedding you've been dreaming of since you were a little girl (we know that the boys were busy dreaming of other things!)
We are here to offer you our honest opinions, thoughtful suggestions and help steer you in the right direction. When it's all said and done, we're happy if you're happy and you're happy if it's the wedding of YOUR dreams.
You tie the knot … we'll take care of the loose ends! |

A little bit more about us girls...

Keri Shepherd lives and works in Honolulu with her husband and two children. She was born and raised in Hawaii.
Always up for a challenge, Keri spends most of her time either helping couples plan the most important day of their life together—their wedding; or she's busy helping them make the most important financial decision of their lives—buying a home. She is a mortgage broker for Charter Funding in Kahala.
She loves the excitement of pulling together all of the little details that go into planning your dream wedding, especially because she gets to do it with her best friend Lissa Wilson. In her 'spare' time she enjoys playing and coaching soccer, hanging out with her family and shoe shopping with Lissa. |

Lissa Wilson was born and raised in Hawaii and lives with her husband and three daughters.
Lissa has used her experience from various fields—everything from a flight attendant to a booking agent to Special Events Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation— to take her organizational skills and eye for detail to a professional level.
"For most couples, their wedding day is the most important day of their lives! And we agree! But we also believe that enjoying the planning process is just as important as the day itself. It all comes and goes so quickly so we want the planning stages need to be just as fun."
Lissa's daughters love that she's a wedding planner and of course think she’s just 'practicing' for their big day! |

Shellie Paiva was born and raised in Hawaii and now lives with her husband, her two step-daughters and a 4th of July baby on the way. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Hospitality Management from the University of San Francisco.
Shellie joined The Wedding Planners two years ago after they helped plan her dream wedding. Shellie and Keri grew up together on Oahu playing soccer together and remained friends through high school and college. So when Shellie got engaged-the first person she called was Keri.
As the planning process for her wedding evolved Shellie realized how much she loved it; and Keri and Lissa realized Shellie had a special knack for planning weddings. Her own wedding was flawless and Shellie made it known that she would love to help them out in the future planning weddings if they ever needed help. As “The Wedding Planners” business grew, so did their need for good help and just a few months after her own wedding, Shellie was busy helping plan other weddings. Shellie is now an integral part of the team!
Shellie also enjoys playing soccer and cheering on her husband and step-daughter’s at their events.
